DuraTrap® Family
Particulate Filters
Wall-flow ceramic monolith filters delivering >99% particulate matter capture efficiency. Aluminum titanate and cordierite formulations for diesel DPF, catalyzed CDPF, SCR-on-Filter, and gasoline GPF applications.
DuraTrap® Product Lineup
How Wall-Flow Filtration Works
1
Exhaust Enters Inlet Channels
Hot diesel or gasoline exhaust flows into the open inlet channels of the honeycomb monolith at the upstream face.
2
Soot Captured in Porous Walls
Plugged outlet channels force exhaust to flow through porous ceramic walls. Particulate matter is trapped in and on the wall surface, achieving >99% filtration efficiency.
3
Clean Gas Exits, Soot Regenerates
Filtered exhaust exits through outlet channels. Accumulated soot is periodically combusted during passive (engine-out NO₂) or active (fuel injection) regeneration events.
